About Vivienne

 

 

Vivienne Aronowitz is a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator who moved to the Big Island from California in 2004.

Vivienne has been practicing for many years in a wide variety of settings, including the Integrative Medical Clinic of Santa Rosa.  She graduated from University of California at Berkeley with a Masters Degree in Public Health Nutrition and has been involved in many public health and community projects, including one with Dr Terry Shintani implementing the Hawaii Diet in Waimea.

Vivienne works with clients having a a wide range of challenges including diabetes and other chronic diseases, cancer, gastrointestinal, allergy, underweight and overweight. She accepts most insurances. Coverage for medical nutrition therapy is often diagnosis related. 

She has a practice in Waimea as well as Kona.

 

Vivienne originally hails from South Africa and finds lots of similarities between her country of birth and Hawaii. Vivienne loves to cook—mostly plant based dishes—and weaves her interests in food and different cultures to find innovative ideas and practical solutions to nutrition challenges.  She is the coauthor of the Healthwise Quantity Cookbook.
